know why?
because they actually make money! consider this, how many times will your Merc/Beemer, ugly italian junk(alfa), volvo break down and you won't be tempted to take it to your local streetside baby taxi fixer? So these dealerships get it all! Not only do they sell expensive cars but they get you hooked for life with their unreliable cars.
It doesn't matter if merc or porsche had manufacturers recalls, because in Dhaka they still get the joy of charging YOU for a manufacturer defect! Just think about the business. They'll make up exuses that its not their fault that you thought Kemal Ataturk was the Autobahn. Or that your Cayenne can actually take on a rickshaw. And such 'higly tuned' performance requires that you don't take it out ever.
Now look at Lexus/Toyota. Surely the local mechanic can fix most of the simple problems. And it is very rare that these do break down. Put that with the fact that Lexus NA didn't have a single recall in its existence. Yeah so Navana can't get your money that easily.

hey frm the sounds of you all i thought that you guys were german car fanatics. and by the success of bmw's, rangies, and cayenne's in dhaka it seems that dhaka as gone thru a weird phase
i mean like 52 lakh on a 3 series? such a wimpy car demanding so much for such should i say 'crap'. even a toyo Mark II looks more impressive
ok lets me introduce myselv. i live in Raleigh, North Carolina but hav ties back home. and being to Dhaka seems that they have succumbed to german car worshipping in the space of 2 yrs.
