Gentlemen I have some very good news. I think RAB purchased helicopters for law enforcement activities. This is the first time that any Bangladeshi Law Enforcement has operated any helicopters.
I do not know what model it is but I believe it is probably American.

Opposition alleges repressive measures
Staff Correspondent
The opposition parties yesterday accused the government of attempting to foil today's human wall programme through repressive measures like mindless arrest of their leaders and activists across the country.
State Minister for Home Affairs Lutfozzaman Babar, however, denied the opposition allegation and said the police are making arrests as part of the routine campaign against criminals. He was talking to the BBC Bangla Service last night.
After a meeting of key leaders of the opposition parties, AL General Secretary Abdul Jalil said, "The authorities, in the name of ensuring security, are, in fact, trying all-out to foil the programme. Hundreds of opposition men have already been arrested in Tangail, Panchagarh, Bogra, and Naogaon and also in capital Dhaka in the last two days."
He said it clearly manifests that the government is desperate to foil today's programme.
The meeting held at AL's central office in the city yesterday evening discussed the parties' respective preparations for today's programme. Some of the leaders told the meeting that the uniqueness of the programme has generated a huge enthusiasm among the masses.
Besides AL leaders, senior leaders of the left-leaning 11-Party alliance, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) and National Awami Party (Nap) joined the meeting. Replying to a query, Jalil said that a meeting of leaders of the opposition parties today would finalise the next agitation programme.
He warned that tougher programmes would be enforced if the government tries to thwart today's human-wall.
"The government will have to bear the responsibility if anything goes wrong during the human wall," said the AL leader.
He alleged that the Rapid Action Battalion choppers yesterday flew very low in the northern districts yesterday to panic the people. :blue_lol;
Meanwhile, an opposition source said that the parties would go for another human wall, this time, from the Sundarbans to Sunamganj and hold rallies in divisional headquarters in its next agitation programme.
"If the government hampers the human wall programme, we'll enforce programmes like hartal," said another source.
Meanwhile, in a statement yesterday, AL President Sheikh Hasina urged people to make the human wall programme successful braving all the 'repressive measures taken by this government'.
Hasina said the 'no-confidence human wall' from Teknaf to Tentulia was announced to free the people from the suffocating reality they are facing under the BNP-Jamaat rule.
Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) President Manzurul Ahsan Khan and General Secretary Muzahidul Islam Selim in a statement yesterday protested the arrests of their leaders and workers and accused the government of trying to foil today's programme.
AL city unit in a press release alleged that police raided its leaders' city residences last night while scores of leaders and workers of the unit have already been arrested in last couple of days.
UNB, Chittagong adds: The opposition combine has warned of a 'mass curfew programme', if the government tries to foil the 'no-confidence human wall'.
AL Joint Secretary Obaidul Quader voiced the warning during a press conference at the Chittagong Press Club in the city yesterday.
He alleged that police arrested over 600 opposition activists and supporters from the port city and the district on Thursday night in their bid to resist the popular upsurge.
Chittagong City Mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury, AL Presidium Member Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir, Haider Akbar Khan Rono of Workers' Party, Moinuddin Khan Badal of JSD, Ahmedur Rahman Azmi of Gono Forum, Shah Alam of CPB and Saifuddin Khan of Ganotantri Party attended the press conference.
The opposition alliance will hold four public rallies in the port city while another four in other parts of the district.
A police source said some 1,000 additional police and para-military BDR would be deployed at different points across the city and the district.

i am not sure if they'll be able to use them well...
what will happen is :
1. they'll use the helicopter to transport big RAB officers and ultimately end up giving the govt a huge fuel bill....
2. try to shoot at criminals from the copter, ... and if some innocent peoples die, they might as well as say in a press release that they were criminals ( with a no of lists of commited crimes ) as well...
but, well... it'd be a quick method of transport ... so whenever they'd need to catch a criminal fast, they may use it...
i hope they use it well... and make a good use of it
