how can the airbags not deflate at that rate of speed...i mean...luk at the car...if i was the driver i wud sue Porsche... :?

never been a big porsche fan.......I like the fact that they make really good cars (performance wise) for the price........but their looks never been that impressive. and now this pic proves that they are technically unstable as well......but then again, all the manufacturers have these kind of technical problems with some of their vehicles......so i guess its not onlly the Porsche.

airbags deploy according to force and point of impact...if the computer felt that the impact wasnt head on....it wouldnt have depolyed it. Its actually very very common. I know that car looks totalled...but seeing as how the owner had the ability to get stuff painted in his car...shows that the body did its job....and the airbag wasnt needed.

this is of course why many manufacturers have side-air bags....and extra sensors...

Please note that there is no engine at the front of the porsche and its designed t crumple upon impact. so it could be that the force was not too critical although the damage was considerable.

hmmm...u got a gud point there arnab bhai...and LEX...now that i think bot it...ye...porsche duznt haf a engine in the front...so probably...ye...but the airbags shud have deployed....2 weeks ago my uncle had a very minor fender bender on his 98 Intrepid...but the airbags deployed...nuthin really happed cept his front lights broke..newayz...i guess different car manufacturers...varies..
