Shocking News: C6 Z06 is faster than Murcielago and Viper

According to Car and Driver magazine's test result.......here are the timings.

0-60 mph

Murcielago:- 3.8 secs
Viper SRT-10:- 3.9 secs
C6 Z06:- 3.6 secs

1/4 mile

Murcielago:- 12.6 secs
Viper SRT-10:- 12.1 secs
C6 Z06:- 11.7 secs

Murcielago has the highest top speed though...... 205 mph, whereas Viper has 190 mph and Z06 has 198 mph.

but look at the price difference,......

Price as tested

Murcielago:- $283,600
Viper SRT-10:- $85,109
C6 Z06:- $69,995

btw, took a look at this month's Motor Trend Magazine, and they claimed that Z06 does 0-60 mph in 3.5 secs and 1/4 mile in 11.5 secs.... :quesexclaim: looks like the new Z06 can even give a decent fight to the mighty Enzo.........which does 0-60 in 3.3 secs and 1/4 mile in 11.1 secs, and costs 10 times more than the Z06. :blue_rolleyes:

Car and Driver stats are sometimes really off. I dont know first hand, but this is the general concenss of the public. Well at least you can go fast in the Murcie with style. :blue_wink:

well, motortrend and automobile magazine pretty much also claimed the timings around that number......ranging from 3.5-3.8 secs for 0-60 and 11.5-11.8 secs for 1/4 mile.....i guess those 0.2 or 0.3 secs depends on the driver.....but eitherways, this thing is prolly faster than Murcielago.........

yeap, the Murcielago looks way better than Z06, but don't forget the price difference. Z06 costs 200k less than Murcielago......and i don't think there is any car that can beat that price for the performance......its truely unbelievale that u can get such a high performance car for only $70k

btw, abt Murcielago's 1/4 mile........i think its faster than 12.6 secs. should be around 12 secs flat......... :blue_rolleyes: may be GTI can confirm this.

i dont know about you guys , but i really like the way the corvette looks as well . And i heard a rumour that chevrolet is working on a even faster version of the vette . Not sure yet but i'll try to find out .
