A lexus here is worth Dhs 250,000 while the Range Supercharged is Dhs 355,000, thats very close to the Cayenne Turbo price which is at Dhs 366,000Zayan wrote:How come saleen_s7???I think that a Lexus is actually WORTH rather than the range rover.
Now for the price Lexus is a very good deal, but it is very bland in its performance, which we as youngsters need. I drove my dads LX470 for a week since he was away, and other than the comfort and room there was nothing more it could offer me. On the other hand performance wise and comfort wise the Range is there, though probably not as comfortable as the Lexus. The Range also looks better and has a better marque. They should not be compared side by side because of the price, like its rather silly to compare a LS430 with a 750Li

RANGE ROVER IS NO DOUBT IS THE DADDY OF THEM ALL as jeremy clarkson puts it. But if you really want a hassle free life after dealing enough hassle in your regular day life get a Lexus. I have owned two range rovers , the 4.6hse and the 4.4 02 BMW engine RR. Both were amazing cars, not parrallel with any but yet so unreliable in their electrical world. I hope they fix it soooon..cause these are tooo lovely cars to avoid. And as far LX470 goes, its just a practical, bulletproof quality 4x4, nothing compared to the image of Cayenne or looks of the RR or performs like the X5 4.8, but stil its a very good all rounder and keeps me cool enough to let my wife and kid have good nights sleep..if you know what i mean....cia0.

snkpkp, i think i saw yr cygnus on da road. looks really good, congrats to u. and abt navana models i did talk to shubro and he said they do have them now. 3 came with mark laninson. and 2 coming with lotsa stuff added. both belongs to ppl he know.
and for those ppl whor comparing the lx470 to the range or x5 guys come on. the lx has been on the market since 98 end and still going strong worldwide. wait till it is changed and then compare. coz the way lexus is going the next one isd gonna be very powerful. and do remember the rr and x5 came much later than the lx.

Also the current LX has been heavily revised in 2003 with VGRS (Variable Gear Ratio Steering), a new five speed gated tranny, a revised low end torque ratio, new interior, and exterior wheels and grils. But basic chassis and powertrain remains the same as 1998. However for 2006 VVt-i engines comes with 275bhp stock for North American spec and 250bhp for Australia/Middle East Spec vehicle. Also for 2006 tire pressure monitor and LED rear lights come standard along with a bunch of other standard items like bluetooth, back up camera, etc. Rumor has it next model year will be based on a 5.5 litr V8 producing 400bhp and also a LX 600h version with over 600bhp and hybrid which will have fuel consumption of a 2.4litre Harrier/ Camry.
About Navana, I KNOW for a fact that they are now importing RECON/USED or brand new Home model spec vehicles. Even they provide a 0 km Cygnus re badged as LX470, its declared as used so at customs they can pay a duty of 38-42 lacs taka depending on car model year, compared to 65 lacs taka duty if declared through PSI as brand new. You can also get your certified Toyota Allion 2003 for 18 lacs from navana with warranty.
Range Rover and LX 470 are sort of in the same class where as the X5 and Range Rover Sport and Porsche Cayenne are a new bread of SUV's. However X5 still needs a locking differtial and Low transfer case to be named as a real 4x4 and Cayenne Turbo and X5 4.8 tire ratings are as "good as flip flops" in mud-according to Top Gear. So Range Rover is the best 4x4xFar ....how true....well almost..putting aside their Electrical Gremlins. Cheers :)
