we're getting to far ahead with ourself, you know the Carrera GT Engine in the Boxster would kill the SLK with SLR engine...

No I don't believe that Arnab. The 5.7 liters V10 porsche of the Carrera GT revs higher but has got less torque and less HP.
Porsche engine specs:
5.7 liters, NA ,612 bhp @ 8000 rpm, 589.78 Nm @ 5750 rpm

MERCEDES BENZ AMG ENGINE

5.4 liters V8 supercharged engine , 626 hp at 6500rpm , 780 Nm.

It don't think that there is enough space in under the hood to put that engine (Carrera Gt) in the Boxster S.

Abdul, SLR McLaren might be more powerful than the Carrera GT, but CGT beats the SLR when it comes to performance. CGT is faster and also handles and brakes better......personally, I like the SLR better though. i simply love the way it looks, and not very fond of how the CGT looks. Porsche cars are hard to beat when it comes to performance, though their cars kinda lack in the looks department.. but u r right though.....Boxter's hood is not that big to put the CGT engine.

and Shahriar, u r also right as well......completely agree with you. but i try to be unbiased as much as i can. my above statement is an example. I like the SLR better, but I agree that the CGT performs better.

but anyways ppl. I think we are getting a bit too off-topic in here. so please stick to the topic. Open a new thread if required. Thanks.

yes the CGT performed better than the SLR in all the tests, and hypothetically speaking if the Boxster had the CGT engine in it(let the engineers figure it out how to put it in the car), it would have beaten the SLK with SLR engine. Now can you get permission from Mercedes to procure an SLR engine, not easy, Bin Sulayem did it because of his connections....

if anyone ones to do that (swapping slr engine in a boxter) they will just buy a slr and take out that engine and put it in a boxter with help from modders.... no need to ask merc or need any connections only $$$$$ needed........
