I'm thinking of getting a 4A-GE for my Corolla. I'll put a Turbo in it... and hopefully tht would cross 200 HP. Cold Air intake and High tension wires might take it to 225+. bt i'm confused whether i should put tht turbo or not.. couse in current Octan condition it might create pressure to engine :blue_rolleyes: :help: :help:

you can put a 4age in it but you will need to bring the compression down (say between 8-9.5), or run very light PSi.
other problem is you might have to go for after marker ECU if the 4age dont already come with wiring loom for the ecu plus stock management system.
Unless you have a access to dyno scrap that idea.

Cruising down under and pushing:
0-100km/h in 5.7sec
0-100km/h in 5.7sec
After getting the turbo?? or in tht stock 4A??Lexus wrote:you can put a 4age in it but you will need to bring the compression down (say between 8-9.5), or run very light PSi.
... yeah i have figared it out... i'll go for a engine tht comes with ECU...Lexus wrote: other problem is you might have to go for after marker ECU if the 4age dont already come with wiring loom for the ecu plus stock management system.
.. as i said earlier.. there is no dyno centre @ Dhaka...Lexus wrote: Unless you have a access to dyno scrap that idea.

Just ma two cents worth......................................................

to avoid detonation problems you would need lower compression, but if you don't compensate that with higher boost then your HP gains will be very minimal.
ways you could avoid this is with a good quality intercooler for the turbo and maybe an upgraded radiator with better cooling. also water alcohol injection kits that spray b4 the throttle body are good ways to reduce intake temperature and avoid detonation.

no 4AGZE is available @ Dholaikhal... bt two or more BT s are there.. waiting for getting rid of confusion

abt the starlet gt i ve raced it it cant go over speeds of 140km cause as he says he s got suspension problems and not because i have a 4age but the truth is that the 4th and 5th gen 4ages are by far the best, and sakin bhai i think that u should go for a 4age i would help you out with the wiring and exhaust which is the most important for a 4age, yes the starlet is fast of the line well thats cause of the supercharger but after 140 it slows down a lot,
the turbo would be a more expensive option. the 4agze engines are too old now anyway the finished producing the 4agzes around 93 i guess so yea by my opinion 4age20v is the best.

4AGZE's were last prodeced in MAP engines also... '97...
