If the idea of driving a hotted up limo tickles your fancy, then the Maybach S edition may be for you. The new 62 S is set for an appearance in Peking, China, later this year and will go on-sale soon after as a 2007 model. The 6.0-litre V12 engine is enhanced to produce 612hp (457kW), which propels the car from 0-62mph in just 5 seconds all the way to an electronically control top speed of 275km/h.

Amazingly, the increased output from the Mercedes V12 gives the big 62 S the same performance figures as the smaller and lighter 57 S, which was displayed at the Geneva Motor Show last year.
