this car is not supposed to be pretty or ugly. its supposed to be affordable to the masses. and it does an excellent job in doing that.

If we design the body locally, can we import the engine from Japan and use it for test until we build it locally?

Also what type of design are we looking to build? It would be great if someone could sketch it.

shams....stop talking like a retarded idiot.

they have a car that they can call their own and be proud of. we're not even close to producing one. if they read what you just said, they can just point their fingers at us and diss us. and why wouldn't they! they have their own national car.

READ THE TITLE OF THE TOPIC BEFORE YOU POST.

this is an extremely relevant thread that bdmilitary has started and he can do anything he wants to it. dont tell him what to do.

even rezwan has posted here. and whichever thread rezwan posts under, i consider that thread to have some substance.

how old are you? if your under 14, i'd understand if you post without thinking. no offense ctg_guy.

Come on friends there is no need for this. We must give the Pakistanis a congratulations for this.

If we built the Revo locally I would be proud as well no matter what it looks like or what its performance is. The reason I said this is that it is the national car and they have a right to be proud of it like we would when we manufacture one locally.

The Pakistani achievement should give us a clear idaes and strategy on what we can be expecting to build locally. For 2.7 lakhs the car is worth every cent, ofcourse I know Shams and other Bangladeshis feel that the car we need to design for the Bangladeshi market must have a standard to meet local expectations. We will ofcourse no doubt take that into consideration in the design, implementatoin and marketing phases.

I am wondering if Toyota gives licenses to other car manufacturers to build their engines locally?

For the Bangladeshi market we will be looking at Toyota Corolla Sedans.

I expect Bangladeshi manufactured car to be bigger as well or otherwise tall people would have problems getting in.

I am around 6ft tall, you cannot expect me to be comfortable in the back of a Revo. We have to take this kinds of things into consideration too. Comfort, driving ergonomics are important too.

A perfect BD car must have a good Suspension... size have to be small with boot. 1300 or 1500 cc engine. space for 5 people & as most of us is not more then 5'10" then we should go for low height car. it would be more Aero dynamic. the low fuel consumpsion will help more. AC is must with powerwindow and oter toys. any thing missing??

PEACE

something around 1000 to 1300cc is ideal.

the chassi s have to be strong.. body have to be aero dynamic.. and some toys in it.. so U need more then 1000 cc car. other wise it would become a Maruti 800 or Esteem.. :blue_idea;
