On their return journey to Brahmanbaria from Comilla Cantonment bus stand, the dacoits pushed out one passenger from the bus at Boriarpur in Debidwar. The passenger later informed a local UP member about the incident. As the UP member informed the Debidwar police, a police team chased the bus.

When the bus reached Itagram, it hit a patrol car of Mirpur highway police, leaving one Sub Inspector, two constables and the car driver wounded. The robbers fled away at that time.

Very sad news. But atleast they managed to kill 5 robbers. One thing for sure is that the police weapons and training must have improved a lot because before I always used to here cops being killed etc etc but now they are fighting back and getting the results. I hope they improve more for we need a safer Bangladesh.

:( :? shame that the cars only a week old and its a complete write off.. the police drivers should be given training in advanced driving courses so that they know how to handle the cars in dangerous situations and high speed

Your right… and they should give better training on driving and using the weapons… some old 9-shooter and AK47 did not match with today’s police activity… they must use the M16… they should trained how to drift out the car without any casualty… cars should use metal front bumper that cops in USA use to drift out the suspects car…

Sakib nowdays they are using some SIG Sauers. I dont think the Police use AK-47 normally because its an overkill for law enforcement agencies and M-16's are only used by the Army at battalion level!

Checkout these pistols:P
