reason for getting the Diesels because the 320cdi engine is actually 3.0ltre so duty will be in lower catagory. :)

Thailand has already got the new Gen of S Class.This country is a much bigger market for Mercedes =Benz than India or Pakistan.Thonburi automobile has assembled cars for them for 40 years.

3.0 Litre 235 bhp V6 24 Valve Turbo Diesel Engine

0-62 (100km.h) 7.5 Secs (VERY GOOD FOR A HUGE DIESEL SEDAN)

Sound : less than 2db than a regular 4.3 Litre V8 Petrol Engine

Price Within the range from 92 Lacs to 115 Lacs with decent options.

I think that there will be no S300 but it will be named S 280 like the Slk does or the E 280 which all share the 3.0 liters engine V6 231 hp all new one.That engine is very very interesting for Asian markets because it makes the owner pays less taxes .look in Thailand the 730 priced at 6.7 millions of bath CKU is very apreciated by customers same confort than other models but only smaller engine.

Abdul the NEW S class does not have the E280 gasoline Engine. The diesel is called the S320CDI but has a 3.0 litre newly developed diesel engine. The smallest gasoline engine on the NEW S class is the 3.8 litre S350 Engine. Cheers!

nono SNPKP the smallest is called S 350 but it has got the 3.5 liters V6 272 hp.Not the old 3.8 liters V6 245 hp
