so according to the information the 4.4 would be a 4.8 which means the iS version would be over 400hp....?

400+ hp? then they need to put a similar engine in the 750s as well. cause 750 makes abt 360 hp i believe, and i don't think they'll make X5 more powerful than the 750....so hopefully we'll see a 400+ hp 750 in near future as well.......which is likely to happen, as BMW will try to make their 750 more powerful than it's rival, the S550, which has 388 hp.
back to the X5........I think the current X5 looks a bit too X3-ish. :blue_rolleyes:

I have heard about a BMW V8 engine with direct injection which outputs more than 400 hp.
There are rumours that the X5 will get a M version powered by the M5/M6 engine same power 507 hp.
Arnab do you plan to buy the next x5 ?

Well I wont buy another X5 to replace this one, but I would seriously consider a V10 X5 over a Cayenne/RR

Spring 2007 BMW will announce new set of engines starting from the yet another refreshed version of the N52 3.0 I6 engine to the new diesels. However it is a certainty that BMW will target a machine in the path of the Cayenne Turbo and the Mercedes Benz AMG ML63 . It is too early to speculate things at the moment, but I am sure we will be happy when it comes out and IT WILL.....the bags are not full yet....!!

Magazines told that there will be aX5 M with M5/M6 engine soon.
