Darkside DK...........I don't know how much ur car is tuned/modified, so just wondering how fast ur car actually is, and how much power u got under the hood?
Boxster might be the cheapest Porsche available, but it aint that slow. It can do 0-60 mph in 5.8 secs and 1/4 mile in 14.2 secs......which is quite fast to beat a Trueno easily, unless ur car has 300+ hp or may be the driver of the Boxster didn want to push it to the limits as he had more risk.......as snkpkp mentioned earlier.
but anyway.......it sounds like a nice race.

Darkside, snkpkp is a long time and senior dtd member. he has made a good point about not taking a risk with an expensive car like a Porsche on BD roads. Maybe you are a better street racer and you know how to carve your way through traffic better than the boxter driver does. But a race in the empty streets will be preferable to see who actually wins.
and by the way please don't mention stats like 3rd best engine in the world without specifically citing dates, year and issue no., for example. the boxter owner is not a member in the forum. we need to hear his part of the story as well.

The 4AGE is a 20 valve
as for the porsche and trueno race... be it expensive or a cheap car... the point is that the porsche lost for whatever reason that might be, so the fact remains that the porsche couldnt or "didnt" leave the trueno behind. Ive heard people holding back because of the cost of the car... so i wudnt blame the porsche driver it is a very expensive car... but sad to say that he lost cos street racing in dhaka will always have traffic and risks to deal with... so if you have a reason to hold back your cars because of the cost... dont bother taking it beyond 3000rpms when you see one of the "cheaper" racers around you.
And if you theory of risk is viable then it would mean some shit rolla X or Allion can even beat a porsche anyday just cos its Dhaka.
As for compairing a corolla to the trueno... i think you're being unfair with your judgement... maybe you're just plain angry at the previous comments... not everybody knows everybody here...
Dont take it personally, but honestly unless you're talking about a corolla GT(which is still slower) i dont think it even compares to the trueno.
One more thing...epensive cars always have better brakes...better handling and control and most of the time have fresh tires compared to our rides... doesnt that mean we are at much greater risk most of the time.
Zoheb ... you know the scene in dhaka HP really counts in drag strips but in traffic the driver matters a lot aswell. I knw this from personal experience... i started racing with a EE90 DX which was a very slow car. On empty roads i cudnt do shit... but in traffic it was a whole different ball game cars are brought into a playing field where most cars with HP differences are made equal only the driving is what makes the differences... its whether the driver meusures the distances in meters, feets, inches or centimeters.

i think that the main problem is that no one can actually except the truth in dhaka....ppl with expensive rides not being to able to drive or risk their cars....cause two days back i had this incident were this black lexus came up to me and told me that he can reck my car if he wants to just cause he couldnt cut throught traffic and cross me in gulshan...... if this is the case for most of the ppl here then i think its best not to race with u guys.....cause face it its really ovious when u buy a car for say 50 laks or maybe more then you would wanna be ahead of the 5 lak ones................but when its the other way around these highly power full ppl tend to get really pissed cause honestly speaking i dont have any power in terms of those things, cause i only go to college.........and if you guys would want me out of this forum then i would leave happily.......
snkpkp...another thing brother is that why on earth do you compare me with Anji bhai or Mr.Pintu or even the great F1 driver, all these ppl are out of my reach and probably wont even come to my reach
Just as vicky bhai said we have a lot of risks too my poor old trueno is runnin its 17 yr old brake disks, and brake lines, and i think there is nothing such as suspension, and everything else is at the point of breaking so with these conditions, where as the other car would be a PORSCHE which probably has everything new ..........yes if you can arrange a race on uttara road then i wouldnt mind cause one thing i never do is "put my back down " unless and until it comes to the point where ppl try to reck my car
snkpkp, i would like to apoligize if i had said something offending to you on any of my posts........
zoheb, as i dont have a lot of gadgets in my car i cant actually tell you how fast it is up to 60/100 but i can tell you one thing for sure that is i can hit 180km/h from a standing still start in something around 34-38 seconds for a stock engine which is about 13-14 years old or which is only worth about 25-35 thousand TK i think its OK!!!!

I hate ppl like these in dhaka... when they lose they block the road and bring on their homeys and talk trash... either their "expensive cars" were not powerful enuf... or they suck like shit as drivers... thats why they get down to threaten others to trash their rides...cos they do that better than they drive. Ive had lots of problems with people like this... but they back down for obvious reasons... i mean why wud i get down start beating ppl up for beating me in a race... i think ppl with attitude like that shud put up banners on your cars..."im a jacked up BHAI so dont beat me or ill smash your ride"

with all this talking u guys r missing the main point. which is, expensive car vs non-expensive car. let me ask u this darkside, if u get a sl65,would u race againest a toyota corolla or similer non-expensive car??? probebly NO. reason y, 1st u know u can smoke that car anytime and 2ndly if u wreck ur car it would be 20 times more expensive then that sitty car u raced. so b4 starting an argument maybe u should put urself as the owner of the expensive car. i hope u'll find the answer y thoese ppl dont race non-expensive car.coz im sure u wont do it either,if u do, then i have 2 say u got tons of money 2 weast or u just lost ur braines.
