the ones u are talking abt are called Animated Gifs........Gif is the file format. for example- the regular picture file formats are usually jpeg.

Google search for animated gifs.......u should get something. I get mines from different forums.

and abt putting those gif files as ur avatar......go to the 2nd page of this thread and read the 3rd post from the top. I explained how to put big size files as ur avatar.
