ya now theyr buildin planes with engines designed specifically to resist bird suctions.... long time ago, since my dad ws in the air force, one of his course mates had to land immediately after engine failure n wen they got down, the saw a large bird sucked into the engine- the engine had to be taken apart piece by piece n rebuild...

on bostin airport 5 men and 4 falcons r on the job 2 keep the runway clear from birds. saw it on discovery channel once.

theoretically yes.... the 777 engine is desined to cut the bird in such minute slices distributing the force of the impact and therefore the bird comes out burned n chopped from the bak of the engine.... with no harm done to the engine itself..

cut the bird in slices? :shock: :shock: :shock:

i thought they r putting some kind of sensor that sense any kind of meat and refuse to suck it inside the engine. :roll:

no they suk it in, n theres no way that can b restricted frm being suked in unless the engine has a mesh infront which is not favourable. the engines r designed to destroy the birds into such small pieces(thestate in which it is shown in the third picture of the porsche) that it dusnt matter if it gets into the engine
