Need to find saleen_s7 for this. If he doesn't response, then i believe WRX should make an official offer to the owner of the SL by mail or something. because this topic of race is going for a while now and there is no response from the other side so far. and i do believe, the owner of the SL probebly do not know that WRX wanted to race him. We are all kind of relaying to saleen_s7. Maybe WRX should take the necessary steps to make this race happen.
:offtopic: WRX please do provide some pics of your ride. I really wanted to see you car. please do whenever it's convenient for you. thank you.

Neil, I'll post new pics soon. Regarding the race with the SL65, saleen S7 pm'd me that he thought he could arrange it as he has good contacts. Talking directlly to someone you have never met and asking for a race in the first sentence is like asking for a fight. So, I thought the polite way would be to allow the go-between to arrange it.
But, you guys are probably right that a positive response might be unlikely. If there was a big difference in performance there would be little risk on the road, but, if the cars are evenly matched, the SL owner would have to push his car beyond maximum to save face. That would be a lot of money to risk apart from the danger. As I said earlier, my car would run an 11 sec quarter mile even on low boost, while the SL has been timed by Car & Driver at 12.2 sec. So, it's too close to call on the public road and the race could go either way right to the end.
I have heard from a reliable source that the previous M3 owner, the SL owner and the M5 owners do visit this website often, even though they do not post. So, the M3 owner was being prudent. But, if the SL owner does not respond, I hope the red M5 owner would be sporting enough.
