actually i don't look at the speedometer when im speeding , but i think i went the fastest with triad's altezza . even though it only shows 180 kph in the meter the limiter is set to 210 or something and according to triad i hit 200 kph in the airport road . And i hit 180 kph or close to that with my prelude .

a good driver can hit 200+ km in BD for sure......depending on road conditions and the car u r driving. u can hit well over 200 km with the M3, Carrera, Skyline GTR and CL55 AMG without any problem.......but if u try with a EE90, then u can't, no matter how good driver u r or how hard u try.

a regular EE90 wouldnt do jack...but if you drop in a 4AGE or a 3SGE with a Kei Office suspension package and some tranny upgrade it mite just do near 200 ... u have to take out the seats and carpet aswell :P ... im just being sentimental cos i really like the EE90 lol

252+ km/h on the airport road this morning at 1.00 A.M. in my modified Impreza. Actually, my speedo reads upto 240 km/h, but my new tyres have a rolling radius that is 4.5% higher than stock. Originally 205/50/16 now 225/40/18. So, the speedo is reading 4.5% less. The reason I say "plus" is because the car was still accelerating manically though the speedo stopped at 240 km/h. After about 2 seconds at that reading I had to hit the brakes as I was getting too close to a black cab ahead. I reckon the speedo reading would have been, at least, 245 km/h and, allowing for the bigger wheels and tyres that would be very close to the 260 km/h mark. I hit 230+ several times then, only being limited by the traffic. My front seat passenger timed two runs to 210 km/h and once it took 25 seconds, the other time it took 26 seconds (rolling start from about 5 km/h). The distance needed to hit 210 km/h was just 1 km. The highest boost reading was 17.5 psi. I plan to up the boost to 30 psi in a few months as I am experimenting with several octane boosters. This should add another 100 bhp at least.

I know it sounds incredible and some may think I'm lying, but, next time I'll give my passenger my camcorder instead of the stopwatch. BTW, my passenger was Joshim, associated with Legend Car (showrooom) in Dhanmondi.

140 mph - back in 1991 in London, when I was a student at the University of Leeds. My car was a Nissan 200SX, at that time a very fast car (0-60 mph in 6.5 sec) and the road was the M4 motorway to Bath from London.

180 km/h (electronically limited) in my Mitsu Airtrek Turbo-R at the airport road.

140 km/h in my Pajero on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway. My driver was driving and I had to shout at him from the back seat to make him slow down !

nice work wrx........252 km on airport road is real fast....u should start attending the DTD meets. Few days ago, there was one, and DTD members raced on the airport road. it will be great to have a race between ur Impreza and Tahmid Bhai's RX7 on the airport road in the next DTD meet. 8)

I actually think I was doing around 260 km/h. But that doesn't matter. 252 km/h could well be the current land speed record in Bangladesh. I have heard of Faisal Khan doing more than 240 km/h in his Ferrari which has a new and more powerful engine in it. Also heard Pintu Bhai got close to 240 km/h on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in his M3. The silver Evo was said to have hit a high of 215 km/h.

Anyway, I have ridden Tahmid Bhai's RX7 and he has concentrated his efforts on enhancing the looks rather than going for outright performance. In my case it has been the opposite. Looks have been almost entirely ignored so far and I have only been after performance. So the looks would be disappointing to most because of my negligence in this dept.

I have been avoiding DTD days because where there is a crowd law enforcement is usually not far away. Who needs the hassle ? Unless we can do something with official permission, there is always the risk of harassment.

My car is a dark BLUE Impreza WRX (1996) (non-STI.) The other one, which I have not actually seen, is probably RED in colour.

MANY THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR ALL THE ENCOURAGEMENT !!!
