Neil wrote:I garee zoheb. but we do need the roads in dhaka in order to drive these super cars. Dhaka does not have any open roads except the eid time. And i don't think the super car owner will drive it among the rikshaw's and clueless city buses. India got some good major free ways where a super cars can show it's power. If we get some good roads like them, then there are lot of people in BD who will get some serious mechaines.

but until then we have to see the M5 and Gumbella, which is the only supercars in BD(By my openion) until the F430 or lambo's arrives.

we have a 700 hp Gemballa Aero and 612 hp SL65 AMG.....which are more powerful than Murcielago(not LP640), Gallardo and F430.....So if we can have 600-700 hp cars roaming in BD streets.........why not a 500 hp Ferrari or Lambo? and btw, you are not suppose to drive ur supercar everyday, it is suppose to be driven once a week or not even that. and specially for BD streets, ppl who own the high performance exotics, they don't even go out of Gulshan, Baridhara and Banani area. So the supercar owners can do that too. They don't need to take their Ferrari or Lambo to Maghbazar or Mouchak..... But the best way to go is wrx's way. I think he only takes out his car at late night and unleash the full power. so supercar owners can do that; take out the car and unleash the raw power at night. During the daytime, they can just cruise around the city and show off their ride. :D

Hello everybody I am back after 3 weeks being in holidays in thailand , malaysia , Singapore.

About supercars in Dhaka , there are 2 real ones , the SL65 amg and the 911 Turbo , the first can go at 338 km/h according german car magazine auto motor und sport and the 911 can do less than 310 km/h vmax. The 700 hp Cayenne is a supercar for the power but not for the handling or the weight more than 2.5 ton

only the sl65 amg and the porsche 911 turbo are super cars/exotics . the rest fall under the premium car category...

I don't know if SL65 is considered as a supercar or not, but I don't consider it as a supercar personally. It has the power and speed and all that, but it handles just about as good as a G35 or RX8, and doesn't even brake as well as the G35 or RX8.........moreover, in stock, the SL65 comes with the limiter, which limits its top speed, and makes the SL65's top speed equivalent to G35 or RX8. and the car is also too heavy. so IMO, it is not a supercar.

I think, no car should be considered as a supercar if it's not pulling 0.95 g on the skidpad.

I forgot about the 911(996) Turbo though. I think we can call that one a supercar. it handles good, weighs less, brakes well, and can reach 192 mph.

the 338 km/h or 210 mph by the SL65 is estimated.......its not been tested. MB claimed that SL65 and even the SL55 can reach that top speed, but the tires are not gonna be stable at that spped as the SL is too heavy, and there is no tire conpany which makes such tires to take a 4500 lbs car to that much speed. so they said SL65 and 55 AMGs top speed is 186 mph or 300 km/h.......which is a safe speed to reach. if you try to accelerate more, ur tires will be unstable and there is a high possibility that u crash ur car in 200+ mph.

Thats what i read few years ago in an article. I don't know if some tire company recently built special tires for the SL AMGs, and if they been tested to reach 210 mph safely.

The SL65 is a Grand Tourer and not a supercar. Like the Bentley GT is a Grand Tourer and not a supercar. The top speed of a Flying Spur is more than the 996TT but its not termed as a supercar. I dont know whether the Porsche 996/997's are termed as supercars, but the Carrera GT is a supercar. No Corvettes including the Z06 are no supercars. The Lambo's are supercars, the Ferrari's are supercars.

maybe GTIVR6 but according to EVO magazine it fall in supercar category.I understand what you mean the real supercars are cars like the Zonda F , SLR , Carrera GT , Bugatti Veyron ,LP 640 Murcielago , SLR 722 edition , Ferrari Enzo , CLK GTR , 911 GT1 , maybe the new SL V 12S Brabus2007 model
