I live in Florida, and was going to the airport with my 96 Honda Accord 2.2 liter with 145 hp, to drop off my friend who came here over the vacation from New York. I was driving at an average speed of 70 mph (112.72 kph) and passed this Lexus SC430 which was going at abt 60 mph (96.62 kph) which was the actual speed limit on that highway. then this jerk with a 2002-2003 Altima 2.5 liter 160-170 hp came from the back and passed me. he was prolly going around 85-90 mph (136.8-145 kph). but i was cool with that and didn't get into any race. Then the Lexus guy prolly got angry at the Altima and boosted his 4.3 liter V8 engine and there we see the 300 hp car zooming beside us and overtook the Altima in seconds.......and i got excited and i slammed my gas pedal and tried to catch them. the Altima could easily smoke my car, but i guess the driver of that car was an idiot. both the SC430 and I overtook the Altima and were going around 120 mph (193.23 kph). the SC430 was in front ofme the whole time. couldn't overtake him since my car wouldn't go any further than 120 mph. but he couldn't go any faster either. at most, he went upto 125 mph (201.2 kph). cause there were many cars on the highway at that time...so going at a higher speed would have been really dangerous. so there u go. that was my racing story. i knew i can never beat the SC430 with my Accord, but i didn't do that bad either. infact, i wasn't even racing him, i was just having fun chasing him. I basically tried to smoke the Altima, in which i got successful, though i had doubts b4 i started zooming.

nice story man. i went for a road trip to florida this past week and it was a awesome experience.

the roads and highways are studded with mustangs, corvettes, sc 430s, camaros, eclipses, 350Zs, RX-8s, XK8s, s2000s, etc.

i'll post some pics when i get home.

yeah man! the roads and highways of FL are filled with cool cars. I've even seen Aston Martin V12 Vanquish, Ferrari 360 Modena and Spyder, Ferrari 550/575 Maranello, Maserati Coupe, Dodge Viper, Lamborghini Diablo etc etc. waiting to see a Enzo and SLR. and I also have a racing story with a Porsche 911 Turbo along with Pontiac Grand Prix and Mazda Miata/MX-5. all of us knew that we don't stand any chance in front of the 911 Turbo, but we still tried to mess around with it, and it smoked all of us big time. I'll write that story someday. till then stay tuned.

i was waiting to tell the exotic car sightings.

saw one 360 modena spyder in orlando.

saw a 550 maranello, 360 modena, bentley continental GT, lot of porches, SLs, CLs, linocln limos, hummer stretch limos in miami.

saw a viper srt/10 in key west (awesome place).

got to drive a CLK320 in Tampa.

but the highlight was seeing an orange gallardo in miami. i love Lambos.

i saw a vanquish yesterday on beach road. man the exhaust note, pure harmony. i've seen some 360's gunning it here, but frankly i think they make more noise than acceleration. or maybe they have messed up their clutch. today while going to work i saw a brand new squeaky clean murcielago, orange, looked yummy, but it was going no more than 60kmph. even the pick up truck were overtaking it. if only they knew.

mayb the owner was scared of scratchin his brand new bull!

u were in tampa? man! I live in Tampa. should have known b4, that u were here. we could have chilled together. let me know the next time u come to tampa.

btw, did u check out the lambo showroom in orlando and miami? just asking since u r a lambo fan. I wanted to go to the one in orlando, but haven't got a chance yet. been to orlando but never been to the lambo showroom there. btw, there is this Mercedes Showroom in Clearwater, FL (its close to Tampa) and they have a orange Gallardo there. selling for 175k or 185k i think.

man, the guys i was with would not want to visit a lambo showroom or any showroom for that matter. i do know that there are lambo showrooms in miami and orlando. when they found out that i take pictures of cars and post them here, they were like asking me to take pics of every car we saw in the highway. they were funny though. but the did alert me (especaially ur friend rezwan) everytime they saw an M3 or Lotus or something like that in the highway.

my friend rezwan? mmmmm, which rezwan r u talking abt? as far as i know, i don't have any friend name rezwan, but i do know two rezwans who are my friend's friend.
