Anyone saw the S55 AMG in Dhaka? or the CL500/600?

Did anyone see the Navy Blue S55 AMG in Dhaka? I went to Bd over the summer of 04, for vacation. One day I was sitting at Pool Lovers (Banani/Kemal Atattuk Ave) with my friends and suddenly saw this Navy Blue S55 AMG on that road. My friend told be that it is probably Morshed Khan's Benz. and it costed him more than 1.5 crore. I'm not sure though. Did anyone else see it? I don't know, may be there are more S55 AMGs in BD, but I only saw one. If anyone knows anything abt that Navy Blue S55 AMG or other S55 AMGs in BD, then please give some infos. like how much they cost in BD and how many of them are there in BD. and is there any S600 in BD?

and abt the CL.....I went to Bd in 02 winter and saw that car that time. Saw that car in cantontment. I'm not sure if it was a 500 or 600 since I couldn't see the monogram at the back. but it had a yellow number plate. So it is probably some ambassador's car. I was just wondering if any civilian owns one? and how much do they cost in BD. Please enlighten us if u have some infos.

yeah i spotted the AMG several times..blue in color..it has nice acceleration..and i also saw the cl500 several times..it hangs around baridhara.

there's a CL55AMG (silver) and a CL500 (blue, i think)

the S55 AMG belonging to Morshed Khan was an S320. The badge was replaced to S55 AMG. At least that's what I heard.

There is a sky blue S55 AMG. there could be others.

correct me if i am wrong in any of these info.

only one way, race the s320 aka s55 with a 530 bmw. if the bmw car keep up then the s55 aint what it seems to be

thats wat i heard..he replaced the badge.a guy with a red supra put BMW badges on his car

that S class also had AMG wheels. so did he change the wheels as well? man! that sux......converting a S320 to S55 AMG by changing the monogram and wheels is plain stupid.

u know, i did see that car once in the summer of 2003, but i failed to notice if it had the AMG body kit. if it did, then he had every right to have an AMG badge next to the S320. i dont know if having AMG rims is enough to qualify for an AMG badge.

he has 2 range rovers, the 328GTS and the Porsche GT3 and many others.

Actually I would think that a body kit of AMG would qualify on having the AMG tag at the very least. But rebadging it as S55 AMG is not in good taste. S320 AMG would have been more appropriate.

are there AMG versions for S320? didn't know. i thought AMG is just for the S55.

Yeah there are no AMG engine upgrades for the 350/320 but you can put the body kit and wheels, and still put the amg tag. but its not s35 just s350 and on the far right side of the boot you can put the AMG tag.

well, i get it now. thanx for the info. but its kinda pointless though. i mean if u can't get the amg engine upgrade then its basically not an amg......i mean thats the main job of the amg.....to upgrade ur engine and make it faster and smoothen down ur shifter. body kits and wheels are just side kicks.

the folks at mbworld discussed that and they conlcuded that having AMG kits is enough for the car to have an AMG badge whatever it might be.

i have seen S500 AMGs. i believe there is one in dhaka.
