some japanese (i think) paid $14 million for a ferrari 250 GTO. a very rare car 15-20 were made i think.

correction....it's actually $15million and it was a Ferrari 250 GTO. 39 were made.

Maybe you are going to find me crazy but the 250GTO is not the world's most expensive car it is the Mercedes-Benz SLR from 1954 the price is estimated around 20 millions of dollars.An American guy offered 30 millions but Mercedes-Benz Sttugart refused by saying that the car was their own property.

the ferrari 250GTO was priced around $30,000 when it was released. it reached $15 million at an auction. so it not the most expensive car in the world.

if u take car prices from auction......then there are many expensive cars.....but as far as i know.....the highest MSRP for a road going car is 1.5 million USD....its the Mercedes Benz CLK-LM. read this in the Guiness book of world records...the 2001 version...may be there are expensive cars now. i don't know.

btw, the CLK-LM looks exactly like the CLK-GTR.....and the specs are pretty much same i guess.....don't know why the LM is 250k USD more than the GTR.

i dont think he has 20 cars. he does have an SL55 AMG and a Ford GT40. he had a 355 and Azure.

Jay Leno has one of the best collection in the world. Jerry Seinfeld from Seinfled owns over 40 classic Porsches.
