no....he means any car below 50 lakhs......harrier is below 50 lakhs. so its all good.

btw, the Bimmer is totally a different car than the other two. those two are SUVs and Bimmer 3 Series is a compact sedan. so its upto u what do u actually want/need. do u want more space and utility, or do u want more speed and performance?

btw, between the Prado and Harrier.....I'm not sure but i think the Prado in Asia is equivalent to Lexus GX470 in North America....may be the engine displacement is different, but the shape looks pretty much similar. and the GX470 is an upper level SUV then the RX330(Harrier). So Prado would be the better choice. and also Prado is bigger in size than the Harrier.

prado is a very good option. but can u get any MP permit? i mean, if u could get an MP permit for say 20 lakhs, then u can just import an SUV like Porche Cayenne, a second hand H2 or an Escalade or sth like that but the problem is that the total may just exceed ur budget by around 5-8 lakhs. on the other hand, u can also think abt prado, pajero, nissan patrol. well, the thing is that i am an SUV lover. so it all depends on u. so good luck.

wat is a MP and why do u need it 2 import those cars :

I guess mp permits are some paperworks from the mp's that allows you to dodge the tax and import cars. without tax but that approval alone costs around 15-20 lakhs.

if the lx470 is below 50 lakhs then go for that. it really awesome.

i dont know but 2-3 yrs back a second hand was selling for 43 lakhs and thus that was the basis of my reply, i really dont know how much it costs now

my bhaiya got a brand new lx470 from Japan at only 40lacs without paying any duties...
