"The 3.0-litre straight six (right) is said to produce around 330bhp – up 72bhp on the new 330i and just 13bhp shy of today’s 3.2-litre M3. The new powerplant takes a leaf out of BMW’s latest diesel engine development by employing two turbochargers – one operating at lower engine speeds to boost low-end torque with the other called upon to extend power at the top end."

why call it 335 when its a 3 liter? they could just name it 330 TT or something. and also, i thought the current M3 makes 333 hp....but this article says 343.....or is it 343 for the European M3s?

nonetheless....this car sounds and looks great. good find.

the 333hp are using the strict air regulations for the north america, while the 343hp is for the rest of the world. i think te design of the catalytic converter playsa big role here

i don't know why they make less hp for North America.....same with the Benz 55 AMGs. S/SL/CL 55 AMGs are 500 hp in Europe i think.....but they are 493 hp in USA. :?
