I think there used to be 5 F1s in Boston at one point in time - 2 belonging to Frank Selldorf, Chairman & CEO, SSI Group, Inc., 2 belonging to Ralph Lauren and 1 belonging to an unknown owner. Ralph Lauren has sold his one his F1s though.
Frank Selldorf owns a jet balck F1 road car (chassis #007) and a historic orange LM #3, used to be owned by a guy called David Morrison. His black F1 is kept in Turner Motosports showroom most of the time for display purposes. Frank also owns another F1 road car in England. The story behind owning the the third F1 goes as follows...he wanted to import his jet black F1 from Boston to London, but the US customs did not allow him, so he bought a Magnesium Brilliant Silver F1 road car (chassis #068 ) from Duncan Hamilton and Co. Ltd. an exotic and race car dealer based in Hampshire, England. This silver F1 still has less than 100 miles in it and Frank intends to keep it that way. He also known to give rides to many awestruck people in his F1s.
Enough talk, here are some nice pics of Frank's black F1 and LM in a motor show in outside Boston.
