Dear Fellows,
I am a Pakistani and working for an automobile co in Tokyo. I look after Southwest Asia. So Bangladesh is a part of my terittory. I ll be visiting Dhaka for the first time in the end of this month (Aug). I hope some of you car lovers can give me some fruitful information about the car market of bangladesh. Unfortunately there is no authority in BD which can provide new cars sales data. Secondly could you explain me a little bit about chitagong , what kind city is this and is it a commercial city like Dhaka?.

Another thing what kind of cars BD people like the most.

chittagong is the major port city of dhaka. It is where all the exports and imports of bangladesh occur. All the cars come shipped to the chittagong port and then they are shipped to the dealers in dhaka andophter cities.. What is your main reason for your trip in bd, just reply asap. I will give you more informations.

Well people in CTG rather by from the Port than the Showroom that's why all the showrooms are in Dhaka. Bye the way which car showroom u talking about?

which company and where is it located in dhaka. chittagong is a good place also for car sales business but i need to know which car company is it ?

yea man if ur showroom is well known in dhaka then u may probably rock in Chittagong but as mekanik said most of the ppl buy cars from port..........i think it wud b bad for u makin a showroom in chittagong but u can still try and yea most of the bangladeshi ppl like toyotas very few preffer honda and nissan is well balanced for me..........u contact auto_freak he will giv ya more information

i also know what showroom are u talkin about?....and i think if a new car showroom is introduced....it shud be around the O.R Nizam road area... i personally think itll run well there...but as the other memebers said....most ppl in Chittagong buy from the port...
