SkodaAuto cars to hit local market
BDNEWS, Kolkata
The SkodaAuto India plans to dispatch cars from its Indian manufacturing plant to Bangladesh next month. Skoda’s export plans come in the wake of a capacity expansion at its plant, which is to serve as the manufacturing hub for its South Asia interests.
The company’s managing director, Imran Hassen, said the company planned to put in place dealerships in Bangladesh and Nepal. The geographical expansion is to be supported by doubling capacity of its plant in Shendra, near Aurangabad, to 30,000 units a year.
Hassen, however declined to disclose the investment that would be made to expand the capacity.
The enhanced capacity would be designed to meet the needs of the technology used in the company’s forthcoming car launches, Hassen said and added that the new capacity would not be used for Skoda’s existing Octavia range of vehicles.

The new Škoda Octavia is strong, dynamic, and robust - all at the same time. The front part of this exceptionally compact vehicle’s body is dominated by energetically slanted curve, newly designer headlights, arched hood over the engine, and typical front mask.
Everybody can easily tell a Škoda from other vehicles by its “face” – the Octavia is no exception. Its distinct cooler grid with vertical ribs, chrome-plated frame, and the company’s traditional emblem point at the glorious history of the Škoda trademark. Wide fenders accentuate the vehicle’s nobleness and reliability.
The main characteristic of the new Octavia is the V-shaped hood – from the side, it gives the impression of self-consciousness; the grid of the mask and elongated contours evoke strength.
From the side view, the transition from the fine line of the roof to the robustness of the fenders is surprising. Robust, yet elegant is also the middle column with large-radius windows in the side doors. The area underneath the windows is underlined with a continuous seam-like line.
The side-marker lights have doubled, compared to the preceding model. Moreover, the new model benefits from newly shaped rear group lights, now reaching all the way to the vehicle’s sides!
This makes the new Octavia truly non-overlookable on the road. Needless to say, it meaningfully increases the safety of driving.

We should kick out all Indian products and Indian lovers from Bangladesh. The very definition of India is cheap, fraudulent, dirty, poor and cunning. I don't personally like to do with those people nor do I like my nation to be flooded with poor quality goods from the enemy.
To counter all these we should put up tariffs against all Indian products, inventment and also restrictions on Indian origin items including BS crap like Tata, Maruti, and now Skoda. You know Nepal has deported Indian Maruti vehicles because they do not meet the environmental standards of that country. If they can do it what is wrong with us? We have bigger reasons to complain. BTW you know the Maoist insurgency in Nepal? Well a bulk of the poor performance by the Nepal Army in the war is because they are using Indian made rifles which fail to work properly during battle.
Sorry for being offtopic but Indian products are not reliable, and I don't expect Skoda to gain popularity in Bangladesh like Mitsubishi, Toyota or anything Japanese or European.
