Hey guys,

I just got back from Singapore and Malaysia and would like to share my exotic car sighting stories in those countries.

I went to Singapore first and I saw a couple of exotic cars: a 550 Maranello resting on a truck (couldn't take any pics cuz I drove past it quickly), and a 2001 Diablo VT 6.0 parked in front of the hotel I was staying in (Grand Plaza Park Royal, Marina). Now, this really shocked me cuz the Diablo 6.0 is my ultimate dream car and it was parked in front my hotel for 4 hours!!! So, I had ample time to admire the beuaty of that car and take pictures. I also got to chat with the valet who parks it. He told me it belongs to a Sinagaporean man about 40 years old and he enjoys shopping in the Marina area, near my hotel. So he always parks the car in front of the hotel so that the valet will to look after it, and not in the car park where it will remain unwatched. The owner of the Diablo pays the hotel for parking the car right in front of it and also tips the valet watching his car very handsomely. I don't who among you has seen the 2001 Diablo VT 6.0, but whenever I see one, I can't take my eyes of it. The first one I saw was in Knightsbridge, London and the second one I saw was in the Lamborghini London showroom in South Kensington. The one I saw in Singapore was the third one I've seen. Here are the Pics for your viewing pleasure.....

Next stop, Langkawi Malaysia. Honestly I only expected to see Protons in this island. But within five minutes of leaving the airport our taxi was overtaken by a red NSX. I was too shocked to even take out my camera and take a picture. Then, the next day, I had my breakfast and walked out of hotel for a stroll and I see a 360 Modena parked in front of the hotel. I was stunned. I found that you could drive it and be driven in it for half an hour for 180 ringit. So, why not? I talked with the guy who works for the company who owns the car and he told me I could drive it round the hotel and then he would take me out into the city. The company he works for is a KL based company called Dream Rides. The car is a 2004 360 Modena bought in March this year. The guy told me a lot about the car before we got in. The 360 Modena's F1 or paddle shift transmission has an optimized full automatic option as well as manual mode, and a low grip Snow and Ice mode. Manual changes are effected through the two paddles behind the steering wheel - the right paddle selects a higher ratio, while the left drops a gear. The pedal-less clutch is automatically activated by the gearbox's electronic control unit, and engages only when the engine revs are correct. If the sports suspension setting has been selected the gearbox software adapts the speed of changes, and the 360 Modena is thus stable in conditions beyond the capabilities of most sports cars. It's a pretty safe car to drive as well. The 360 Modena won't move if the the seat belts aren't fastened. If the car lies idle in 1st gear for 10 seconds, then it will automtaically change to neutral. The best part of the ride was the 0-60-0 in 7.1 seconds (4.2 to 60, 2.9 to 0). The roar of the engine was simply awesome. I was pushed back into my seat and couldn't even move. Everyone in the island was just staring as we drove by and some of them were trying to take pictures. I suggest you guys also try and drive/get a ride in this car....you need to hear the sound of the engine that produces 400bhp. Another thing, the guy also told me that the island of Langkawi has 2 Countachs and 1 blue Jag XJ220. He also told that there are 9 Challenge Stradales in Malaysia, 1 Enzo belonging to this guy called Mr Chin and 3 Murcielagos (one of which belongs to Mr Chin). Enough talk...here are the pics of the 360 Modena...

In KL, I just saw some Porsche GT3s and Carreras and an old BMW 5-series tuned by AC Schnitzer. Other than those, I didn't see any other cars worth mentioning.
