Need advice for performance upgrade for Mazda RX-8....just keep in mind that it has a rotary engine which has about 239HP but tough to maintain in BANGLADESH.

you can do a number of things if you have the time and money.

1. drop in performance air filter or cold air intake
2. cat back exhaust or just a high flow cat
3. light weight pulleys for the alternator, water pump, crankshaft

this is just to name a few. the website below will give you a pretty good idea of what you can do with your RX8. for the performance parts it also says how much your horsepower increases which is helpful.

hope this helps.

yeah whats up wazz dhaka? have you done anything to ur ride yet?

been looking at some other sites for Mazda performance mods.

http://www.re-amemiya.co.jp/
http://www.autoexe.co.jp/

they have some very high quality products for all mazda models. mainly though for Rx7 & Rx8.

knightsports has come up with a really good supercharger for the se3p. claiming 292whp. i just wonder if our fuel can handle that. FI is the only way to get noticable power increase on a RX8.

ok cool. the RE Amemiya kit claims 260PS. however i'm also wondering whether the fuel here can handle this kind of boost or how reliable the car will be after such mods.

so far i'm thinking bout N/A mods only like CAI and cat back exhaust.

the rx8 engine is already tuned to its best for the 238-250 ps power output (type s). I have talked to a tuner at Knight Sports and they say they can tune according to 91-95 ron octane and still keep the 292whp which is about 340bhp. quite the power for such a light car....so I am really thinking about it....

To be honest i wouldnt really much around with a rotory. I personaly dont think B.D has the aftermarket support for rotors.

But drop down panel filter and just changing the rear mufler would be as far as i would go with it.

I am pretty sure they have a oxysensor with the cat and if you want to replace it with a hi-flow item, u might just stuff around with the EMS.
