Smackdown vs RAW 2006

anyone played the game yet? I got the game yesterday on PS2 and started playing the season mode and finished till the royal rumble match. So, far the game looks awesome. has some new match types, like Buried Alive Match, Fulfill Your Fantasy Match and Backstage Brawl Match. and also has background commentary. I didn't have the previous game Smackdown vs Raw.....and didn't even play that one, so can't say how much better the new one is from the older one......but its a lot better than the 2 year old game Here Comes The Pain.

btw, i had a hard time choosing between this game and the NFS Most Wanted, but later i figured that I have the last version of NFS (Underground 2), but i don't have the last version of WWE game (Smackdown vs Raw)......so ended up buying the Smackdown vs Raw 2006 over Most Wanted........actually wanted to buy both, but finals are coming up in less than a month, so getting 2 games together will be a disaster for finals.

I'm gonna get the Most Wanted after finals.

Smackdown vs Raw(previous one) is not that good. I do have it and played the season mode till end...finished it in two days. There are not much superstars like Smackdown: Here comes the pain, loved that game. So didn't really liked the previous one. as you said the new one is good so far....i think i'll buy it. Beside saw the commercial last night, graphic looks awsome. BTW right now i am playing God of the War. AMAZING GAME.....if you haven't played it yet...go rent it or buy it. i am telling you, you won't be dissapointed.

yup Neil, this new Smackdown game is just awesome. I didn't play the previous one so don't know how that one goes, but the new is is awesome. I like it better than Here Comes The Pain.......at 1st, the controls in this new game looked a bit difficult, (controls are bit different than Here comes the Pain) but as u keep playing, u get used to it. the only thing I miss in this game is Brock Lesnar and Goldberg.

God of the War.......is it like a 1st player shooting game? I'll try to rent it. thanx for the info Neil.

It is a action adventure game, kinda like Prince of Percia.Gamespot ranks it 9.3 (superb) here's the Trailer......you will like it man.
