Schumacher joined F1 back in 1991 and has started 230 Grand Prix in that time. The German has won 84 of those races and finished on the podium an astonishing 142 times. Schumacher has also scored 64 pole positions and 69 fastest laps.
Speculation will continue to mount during the season, if this will be his last. The pressure will no doubt increase as it looks more likely Kimi Raikkonen will join Ferrari in 2007. What is in no doubt: Schumacher is still very fast and a real threat to any driver thinking about winning the championship.
Many happy returns, Schumi !!
