SL AMG VERSIONS ARE RESTYLED

Both the 55 and the 65 AMG are coming with composite brakes as standard.Notice they get racetimer like the S65 AMG.The SL 55 AMG GETS 17 HP more that makes 517 hp.And the SL 65 AMG stays same

thanks for the infos Abdul. I didn't know that. great to see some upgrades on these two beasts......but I thinkl the regular SL500 is getting the most upgrade. For the 2007 model-year, the SL500 will have the new MB engine, which is 5.5 liter V8, with 388 hp......which will make the SL 500 faster than the current ones(current ones have 5.0 liter V8, 302 hp engine) by 0.8 secs in 0-60 mph sprint. which I think is completely brilliant.

Your opinion Zoheb is good.I agree with you about the SL 500 which gets every upgrades.Arnab when do you think restyled SL will come to Dubai????

I have no idea, but day a complete design makeover for cars would be 5-8 years, Mercedes were longer than that. So when did this shape first come out? Has it been 4 yrs?

Arnab the car was launched at frankfurt 2001 that makes 5 years I hope another 4 or 5 years for this SL.This car is the best in its class.

don't know abt other places, but the 5th generation SL came out in the US market in 2003.

the one that was launched at frankfurt......was it in the frankfurt autoshow....? i guess the car was just a concept back then. but the actual model came out in 2003 i guess.....so u have to count it from 2003, which makes the 5th generation SL 3 years old.

nono I am about sure that the SL came in September 2001 at Frankfurt, but the production started in late 2001.
I made a search on Mercedes Benz Germany there are some SL 5 th gen from Nov 2001 second hand car at 46000 euro
