it probably is the VVTLi since they're putting that engine in a lot of things nowadays (Exige - NA, turbo, supercharged), corolla, etc.
but they say a new 1.8 engine... maybe a new one with dual VVTi instead of VVTLi... should be a bit more than the 140bhp of the current 1.8 VVTi!

i would rather recommend the GTI 1.8t than this yaris. I test DrOve one it is quicker factory boost at 12.5 psi. Not bad for a small car.
