One month to go!

Some info about the 2006 edition:

The eight annual Gumball 3000 Rally will be held this may 2006 and will set a milestone by taking the 120 participants through 3 continents in 8 days.

Dates:

Gumball 2006 will take place from the 29th of April until the 7th of May.
29 April - Registration Day and Start Party
30 April - Rally start in the afternoon
1-2nd May - Europe leg
3-5th May - Asian leg
6-7th May - US leg

The route:

The Event follows a 3 stage, 3000 mile driving route that incorporates Europe, Asia and the United States.
Stage 1 Europe - London (UK) to Belgrade (Serbia) The cars and participants will then be flown to Malaysia.
Stage 2 Asia - Malaysia to Bangkok (Thailand). The cars and participants are then flown across the pacific to the USA.
Stage 3 Salt Lake City (USA) to Los Angeles (USA) via Las Vegas.

Costs

As done in past years, loyal past Gumballers will recieve a discount of 25% with the total entry fee being £30,000 (based on 2 persons per car); and £40,000 to new participants.

nice find DES.Maybe the craziest race in the world.need to be careful.Last year King of Morocco took take in Morocco to the race.

gumballs are cool. i have some videos in my pc form some previous gumballs......these guys are crazy.....some ppl get 7-8 tickets throughout the race....some ppl even go to jail.....and then come back the next day on bail. i remember watching this guy in one of the old gumball videos getting caught by the cops at 187 mph in an F50.......and then he came back the next day on bail. lolz.

btw, i think last year an M5 won the gumball.

Last year Kalbas "won" (there was no official winner since it's not a race but a rally) in his Mercedes CLK AMG DTM. The BMW M5 was second.

The rally went to morocco in 2004.
