A new GTI: 2006/2007 Volkswagen Polo GTI Cup Edition

Volkswagen has launched a new special edition Polo GTI in Germany. The car has 180 horsepower, a 0-60 mph time of 7.5 seconds, and a top speed of 139 mph. The 1.8 liter engine has a maximum torque of 173 lbs-ft, readily available at 2000 rpm. The car also gets a special roof spoiler, side skirts, 17-inch alloy wheels, and upgraded brakes. It costs 3,000 euros more than the regular GTI. So far, there has been no word on U.S. availability. The interior is unchanged from the regular GTI. Gallery after the jump
