then those are the SSF ones not Mr.Tareq's personal car. He has a 750Li and like 5 Pajero's. The two 760Li's were bought at the same time some time in 2004 . They also recently purchased 4 BMW X5 4.8 Special Secutirty Vehicles.

Salman When you tell that those 2 cars cost 6 crores that doesn't sound so much that means less than a million of euro.A maybach fully armoured cost in Belgium one million of euro by Belgian company Carat Duchatelet.

yeap.........6 or 7 crore for a 760 is not that expensive...heck, even i got my 760, S600 and A8L W12 for 10 crores each.........yeah right.... :P....whatever! :blue_rolleyes:

please do not compare 760 with a Maybach........Maybach is a much more luxurious and bigger car than the 760. and also, there is a huge price difference. a regular 760Li (that is without the bullet proof option) costs abt 120k USD, and Maybach 62 is about 385k USD.........which means M62 costs more than 3 times the price of a 760Li. And if u do the math, then u'll figure that 6 or 7 crore TK for a 760 is way too much. but oh well, Zia family got the money; so not a big deal for them.

What guys you must undertsand those cars have got B6/B7 level of amouring this means the highest level of protection avalaible on a car.

this text is coming from www.bmw.com

Complete Security directly from the factory.
Thought through down to the finest detail.

1. Bullet-resistant laminated Security glazing.
Ballistic protection in transparent areas is provided by multi-layer laminated security glazing with an internal polycarbonate layer. The function of the internal polycarbonate layer is to protect the passengers against glass fragments inside the vehicle.

2. Armouring in non-transparent areas.
The requirement of protection level VR7 are satisfied by the use of special armour steel. This armouring is integrated into the body structure of the High Security vehicle directly at the start of production in such a way that even the smallest of gaps and overlaps, which subsequently cannot be accessed, are effectively protected. BMW goes a step further: On top of protection level VR7, a special fibre-reinforced material is used as an additional measure against special armour-piercing ammunition. This material prevents fragments and secondary projectiles from entering the passenger compartment.

3. Under-body protection.
The standard under-body protection protects the passengers by preventing grenade fragments from entering the passenger cell.

Emergency exit through the front windscreen.
In an emergency situation the front windscreen can be released in its entirety from its mounting and pushed outwards.

Comfortable entry.
The doors are a perfect example of how elegantly and inconspicuously the armouring is integrated into the vehicle; their role in providing reliable protection against attack barely changes the way in which they normally work as doors. The door opening angles are fully retained and even the entry area is unchanged from the standard model.

Partially lowering door windows.
Optional windows lifts allow then door windows to be lowered partially by approximately 210mm – either all the windows or only individual ones in different combinations.

Run-flat tyres.
In the event of a sudden loss of tyre pressure, the standard run-flat tyres with support rings (Michelin PAX system) allow the driver to continue driving the car at up to 80km/h for a further distance of approximately 50km.

Sure it is expensive and it worth.

About the price of Maybach that I know itr well.I have been inside that car the 62 , the 57 at paris motorshow 2004 and in Belgium too.So I guess that I know price.in Belgium the 57 cost 375 000 euro , the 57 s 430 000 euroand the 62 450 000 euros
In Belgium there are 12 Maybach sold every year.
2 of them were bought by President of Malawi. So Maybach come with partial armouring and so fully.
