"Neil Patrick Harris, who came out as a gay man this week, did not really come out on his own.

That's what Reichen Lehmkuhl, boyfriend of 'N Sync star Lance Bass, claims. He says Harris was ''lanced,'' the new term for forcing celebs to out themselves.

'It's to be outed by someone in the public media and to a celebrity, and Neil Patrick Harris, I understand, has been `lanced,' '' Lehmkuhl told The Associated Press.

The word, it seems, was created in connection with Bass' own decision to announce he was gay.

Harris, who played the lead in the beloved comedy hit Doogie Howser, M.D., has said he wanted to ''dispel any rumors or misconceptions'' about his private life by coming out. ''I am a very content gay man living my life to the fullest and feel most fortunate to be working with wonderful people in the business I love,'' he said."

I wasn't a fan but i did watched couple of the episodes of How I met your mother. But Doogie Howser MD was something. in 90's it was my dreame to be a kid MD and hook up with some sexy ladies like he did :blue_wink: . He was like an idle. To find out that he's gay is really shocking for a fan like me.
