ABS is a safty device
Its main plus point is that the wheels don't lock and you can turn the car during heavy braking thus giving you control to move about to avoid an obstacle
Drifting is all about loosing traction with the road and is also about weight transfer of the car
In one technique of drifting, I think its called the "braking drift",
when the car brakes just before the turn, most of the froce goes to the front wheels, causing the car to grip more in the front and easier to turn just before entering the drift.
With an ABS the car will not tranfer much force to the front and when drifting, ABS is turned off so that tha car can loose traction more easily.

One more thing
adding an ABS can cost you as much as the car maybe even more
,new ecu, callipers, sensors, etc.,
the ABS can give you the feeling of safety and in Bangladesh its a very good device to have in your car, but it all comes down to how well you control the car during heavy breaking

ABS was designed with the average driver in mind. If you look at all the professional race drivers on TV, none of their cars have ABS because they know how to brake up to the limit without loosing traction. Just a thought.

actually they prefer to go for controlled slide so that they can get out of a turn faster
