my corsas engine is pretty messed up.i really have to put about 1.5 ltr of mobil every weak. Its really bad.Wiil it be better if I overhaul the engine or fit a new engine.some say its better to over haul, some say it better to buy a new engine.now i m having a 1.3 ltr engine. Is it possible to fit a 1.5 or 1.6 or even more power full engine.really need to know.

a slightly larger displacement engine should fit. may have to modify the motor mounts. ask a good garage about compatibility with your ride though, electrically and mechanically.
btw, ur 1.3ltr can also be made into a 1.5 or 1.6 by boring out the cylinder.
i know a good machine shop that may be able to do this. PM me for more info.
overhaulin seems to be a good idea

hi man!..regardin ur messed up engine, i think u overhaul it. thats because when u change the engine to a bigger one, u have to fit in a comaptible gear box along with it.... other wise its no point. wat to do with the power if it cant shift it to the wheels.
changin the gear box is also a must if u change the engine to 1.5 or 1.6. let me kno wat u decided bro. peace

It looks really odd but Will this engine fit in my car
ENGINE-4AGZE TYPE-L-4 YEAR-94 BORE-81.0 STROKE-77.0 CC-1587 COMP- 8.9 PS- 170 RPM- 6400 MODEL- Corolla (AE101) NOTE-MAP
This starlet engine is almost the same as my engine
ENGINE-4EFTE TYPE-L4 YEAR- 96 BORE-74.0 STROKE-77.4 CC-1331 COMP- 8.2 PS- 135 RPM- 6400 MODEL-STARLET EP91
My corsas engine
ENGINE-4EFE TYPE-L4 YEAR-96 BORE- 74.0 STROKE-77.4 CC- 1331 COMP-10.0 PS- 88 RPM- 5600 MODEL- Corsa AX spe
A mecanics shop at dolaikhal told me that the engine of starlet will fit in my corsa nd also the gear box.But i m confused.in here the bore nd stroke nd the cc is same as mine. the starlet is 135ps nd my corsa is 88ps.so if i m able to fit it its going to be fast.would really help if u guys gave me some tips.

Hi Bro, you can go with the second option it looks feasible, easier and available. Regarding the first option, bro lots of work will be required.
