i agree he's in a different league altogether, he needs some challenge this year, otherwise it gets boring....

abacab: ferrari is fast, maybe he's the only driver who can handle the speed

He was not always leading. Anytime he gained places was during pit stops, can't remember any straught out overtaking.

that's cuz he was leading from the start most of the time. all he had to do was maintain the lead...

Well he did not win all the races from the poll if you want to match with the results, so you can;t claim he was leading all of them from the start.

And the fact that he gets pretty nervous was clearly shown in 2003 when Raikkonen needed to win and Schumacher get no more than 8th. He messed up qualifying, failed to do anything spectacular in the race, making a big mess out of the whole thing. Came in 8th, but lucky for him, Barichello went to win with Raikkonen 2nd.

And for all his great overtaking skills, you can just look at the last 2 races. In the first one Barichello came from pretty far back in the grid to 2nd. On the other side Schumacher took out Heidfield with him instead of doing one of his God-like things, which he never does anyway.

hmmm.... i could only see about 4 F1 races last summer since I can't see it here in the US. but Schumacher was in one of the top 3 starting positions from what i can recall. there wasn't much to overtake.

i can see you dislike schumacher.....your choice. just so you know I've been supporting him since his days at Benetton Renault, in other words, since the arrival of satellite dishes in Bangladesh. he was able to pull pretty amazing wins since then even though hill, hakinnen, villneuve and all were at his tail all the time.

but hey if he ever retires.....i'll support alonso.

Speed TV shows F1 in US. Most cable companies provide it. Dish, you have to upgrade. My dorm or the hotel I was in last week did not have it, so I guess you've to look out. But most races are either 1:30AM or 8AM sunday morning. That's a bitch.

I've no problem accepting Schumacher is/was a great driver. But in recent years, its been more down to strategies (i.e. pit stop moves) than pure racing. Or even Barichello letting him pass for team orders. After wasting many Sunday mornings like this, I'm somewhat pissed at the whole thing. And if you just keep up with F1 news, you'll see how Ferrari tries to control FIA. Most recent was them signing a deal exclusively with Bernie Eccleston, and getting a veto power in all F1 rule changes. And the rest of the teams were trying to form a pact to get more money out of Bernie.

Overall the whole thing makes me pretty disgusted.

And Schumacher does lose coolness when under pressure. Even when he was starting for Ferrari (don't remember the year), I think it was Villenueve who he had to beat in the final race to be World champion. But he took him out of the races. Lost all the points for that year in championship.

Don't have cable........not at home a lot........

about Ferrari winning more races due to better strategies.....i totally agree.

one more thing. maybe you can answer it. remember a few years ago in one of the Grand Prix races, Coulthard was trying to overtake Schumacher or vice versa and they messes up and one of the showes the finger to another. am i right or wrong?
