yes it does provide poor performance then the Petrol engines. last summer i was in bd. and we hired two Microbuses to go to our village in Comilla. One of them was CNG. and I was in that one. the petrol engine Micro was pulling at 120-130 km/h very easily and the CNG Micro had a hard time running on 100s. when it reaches abt 100-110 km/h. it would make such loud noise, u feel that the engine is gonna blow soon. so we couldn't go that fast and the trip took longer than it was suppose to be. after that, i told my dad.....the next time we hire something, we'll make sure its not a CNG. specially if we plan to take it on highways.

and also, one night me and my friends were going to this wedding at Uttara from Dhanmondi. We were going on a yellow cab (cng engine). and we started real late since one of my friends showed up late. so we told the Cab guy to drive fast......and he couldn't go more than 100 on the airport road. we asked him, he said its the cng engine.....won't let him go any faster.

so i'm pretty sure that Petrol engine provides way better performance than cng engine. but then again, cng is way cheap. so if u don't need the performance and u want to save some money, then go for cng.....and if u don't care abt the money & want performance, then stick with ur petrol engine. but then again, there are risks with CNGs. This topic is the proof.

i think its just an internal combustion engine can get more (kj) of energy from burning a given amount of petrol than either diesel or natural gas. race now say you were feeding race fuel to your car then for sure it would be producing more power than just petrol.

i heard frm car mechanics that cng DOES reduce the cars performance as there is lesser torque n acceleration. it is more efficient in day to day use but fr speed runs they sujested we stik to oil.

it is economical.. 1 tank costs around 150 bux, thats well enough for one taxi to operate one single day.. but sure its not gud for private sedans or for people who seek luxury and power more than economy...

did u fill up ur whole tank? i usually get the regular gas since my car is old and i don't care abt it much.....regular gas is abt $2.19 and it usually costs me around $28-30 to fill up the whole tank.

few days ago filled up the whole tank on the A8L. it requires premium gas....and cost me abt $52........damn!
