I'm lookin to buy a 1995 model toyota corolla DX sedan. Does any of you here own one and is the car reliable and economic?

Please share your experiences with the car here if you can.

Thanks. Chao... :)

Welcome aboard S.Eyes. I have 2002 corolla hatch and frankly speaking u can’t go beyond the corolla, when it comes to issues regarding reliability and economics. Other than lamp replacements no major faults have surfaced in two years.
I presume you are buying in Australia and looking second hand. A corolla with full service history should be as good as new. We received a real good batch of 95 imports in Bangladesh which had sparkling motor and could be redlined at whim. Sad, Toyota seemed to have lost the recipe since then.

Thanks for the welcome Monk.

I'v been looking at a second hand corolla over the pas couple of days now preferably 1995 model.

A couple of my relatives drive that model in Bangladesh and my neighbour in Australia has one too (it's a maroone one).

Anyway is it possible do do them up? I mean do they still offer body kits for corolla's these days?

S`Eyes, If you’re looking for cosmetic and performance upgrades your local Toyota dealer will be more help than me at pointing u in the right direction. We don’t have fiberglass/resin body kits available here in Bangladesh. Most of the aftermarket kits on cars here are custom made from metal sheets; Prices for aprons and skirts range from TK24, 000 to TK80’000. TopGear does bring in resin aprons for the 95/99 civic occasionally, so I suppose u should be able to find cosmetic upgrades for your car as well.

Yes their are many places here where I can go and upgrade my car cosmetically in my area.

What I was looking for were the Lexus lights that some guy put in the back of his car.

Have a look:

A rough idea of the colour I want and also the lights.
[I will minus the spoiler in the back, stickers and also the body kits. So i just want a navy blue clean car with alloy wheels, good sound system, and lexus lights.] :D

Thanks. If I can get a 1998 model Corolla Conquest it will be even more better because it includes more upgrades and minor fixes.

I'll just wait and see... :)

Give me 2 days time. I had to change my server due to very low speeds and other server errors. I also went outside Dhaka for couple of days during the end of the year. New server is up; will upload it asap.

2 pictures were uploaded though those doesn't actually show the whole car, rather the two words "Corolla & GTR". My uploading space in DTD is almost over, so going to upload the other 3 pictures [Front View, with Hood Open and Engine Close up] somewhere else and post links here.
