NICE IDEA ARNAB.Then we need to contact Fiat Iatly to get license for reproducing the Grande Punto body. But don't forget we need to put our bangladeshi touch in the design. We need a emotionnal emblem which reflects our expectations. If the project comes true then in 10 years TATA will be out of the country. When the project is ready we need a big financial support from Government , foreign companies from Asia not Europe, NRB investments.....
THIS WILL BE THE BEST NEWS for the NATION.No more import cars we will make it.

To buy the license from Fiat for their new Punto is impossible, they wont sell it yet, and even if they did the investment cost would be astronomical. We have to stick to Corolla EE90 chassis, because its no longer in production and then use the idea of the Punto to fabricate a body on the chassis.

Pnto Funto dorkar nei. Bangladeshi people would not like it. They trust Toyota, they buy Toyota o matter in what planet they live in.
Arnab is correct. Max price shoud be 4.5 lakhs and we should try and make an agreement with local banks or Islamic banks (which Bangladeshis trust/prefer) for soft loans to purchase these cars. The banks will probably be more than happy because they benefit from it too.
Ohh yes I remembered one thing now. Iran actually wanted to invest in Bangladesh's automobile secot by setting up a plant! We can also contact Malasian Proton if they are interested in a Joint venture program.

We need to do joint ventures with Iran, and countries like Japan, Malaysia and S. Korea if we are to start an automobile industry in Bangladesh.
Apart from private cars we have to develop taxis's too. I went on a couple of taxi's when I was in Bangladesh a few years ago, the black cabs are really pathetic, the indian ones were unsafe as even when we got on it some parts started falling off :blue_lol; but I liked the Toyota Corolla and Mitsubishi lancer cabs. We need to develop a family/middle class multipurpose car that can be used for private or commercial purposes in large numbers.
I think really as a naytion with nearly 150 million people we are behind everyone else. :blue_mad:
