Well I m not sure I should name my company or not but since I m sincerly trying to penetrate the market with our products . So I wud not hesitate in telling the name of co. I work for Honda Motors Japan .Im not sure why Bangladeshi ppl prefer other product over ours. May be we have not given much attention to this market. However I believe there is a potetntial in the market. I look forward to your opinions and suggestions in improving our sales in the Bangladesh. Another thing , I m very busy these days please bear with me if I get late in replying.
Thanks buddies

Miki,
It's good to see that u finally replied. About your company, I am glad you named your company's name. Honda Motors does not gain sales in bd because they sell assembled cars in dhaka. Honda Motors assembles some cars such as accord, civiv and some more in India.The prices of the cars are low, but bd ppl prefer japanese cars, they do not prefer any other country's assembled cars. If u can ensure that you will bring totally japanese car models to bangladesh, then I am sure your sales will increase. The current 2005 indian assembled accord's price in dhaka is 24 lakhs, even if you increase the price by 4-5 lakhs in the japanese accord, the sales will definitely increase. I will tell you more about these later on. Please reply.

@auto_freak
Well I don't think so that Indian car could be the reason. We are also selling Japanese assembled Civic & CR-Vs , but sales figures are not good for these models as well. A very deep analysis is required in this matter. but thanks for your point of view . It gave me another direction to think about. May be u r very right , if it is so then then we might have to change the source. Why not an indian car . is it because of quality reasons or just its an Indian ?.. Honda all over the world try to maintain the same quality. In an intercompany competition Honda Pakistan was second in Asia after Thailand in quality standards last year. So I think it does nt matter a lot .
Anyway I ll be meeting some customers also ... I ll discuss this point with them also..
Thanks

I am glad i could be of a little help. I think bengalies prefer german and japan built cars over anything. Honda crv's are the japanese assembled models sold in china, but i think bengalis prefer larger suv's for the price of a civic. Suppose the toyota hilux surf or even the the toyota higlander is better preferred than the crv. U should try to bring the honda pilot and japanese assembled civic, accords and also some acura models. Bengalis now prefer recondition cars of toyota rather than brand new models of honda or even nissan. I myself bought a 2003 honda accord from dhs motors in february 2003. All bengali ppl do not know cars that much, they think toyotas have better quality thany any other, they do not know that in other developed countries honda is more preffered. Those who know cars totally they prefer hondas, i belive. I'll get to u soon. Reply back.
