just a quick info duty on cars and suvs,

from 0-1649 cc - 92%
from 1650-3059 cc- 148%
3060 Cc- And Above - 201.2%

Recon cars get up to 35% depriciation on their original bluebook value, but only applicable to cars up to 1600 cc and coming from country of origin and for SUVS any cc but from country of origin and not more than 4 years old.

The Said BENTLY which is on its way will be taxed at 201.2%, but there are lots of ways to go around paying the actual duty according to actual value of the car. But sometimes it does not work.. the .PSI company in Dhaka is very smart. But things are possible for Faisal Khan.

I import about 10-15 cars everymonth. You guys are WRONG about taxes. Good Luck on getting a 3.0 above vehicle at 150%. Vehicle from 1650cc to 3060cc is 148%. Vehicle above 3061 CC duty IS 202.1%. I have 3 cars coming 1 cygnus , 1 Range Rover and 1 Hummer H2, all of which will be taxed at 202.1% I WISH i could get them at 150%. And If SL65 is brought under passport then its a whole different deal. there is no duty bracket for such vehicles, its all up to the customs official.

well, if the tax rate is 202.1% as snkpkp said, then it willl cost.......

price of the vette + the 202.1% tax.......which is abt $151k..........which is equivalent to 1 crore + taka..........

btw, thats for the regular corvette coupe........the convertible and the Z06 will cost more.
