1967 Mercedes-Benz 300SE

This is a very rare 1967 Mercedes Benz 300SE "Fin-tail" fhc. The car have factory installed sky roof. Restored from total scrap to on-road position. This car was first bought by US consul to East Pakistan from US. Then an indrustiralist got his hand onto it. He used this car for long time. The car was left in one of his factiry storages until late 2003. Shantu bhai bought the car from that family. The restoration project started in early 2005 & was complited by middle of 2005. well, not fully complited. Some works still to be done.

The car originally had a 3L petrol engine wid hand gear. While restoration was on process, the parts for those hand gears were un available. So, we had to change the engine. We wanted to get a 1MZ-FE/2JZ-GTE/2JZ-GE/1JZ-GTE/ 1JZ-GE bt... then there was nothing available. So, we had to go for a 2L 1G-FE Beams 2000 version. It is a auto trans. Luckily.. at that time dholaikhal crushed another Fin tail. So we got some parts from it. Except that engine, allother parts are of Mercedes. We tried our best to keep it as much original as possible. Things we need for the car to complete restoration : Left hand's side mirror, Side bits, Original Radio, MB's tri-star, Wiper's motor .... hopefully thias will do. To improve.. i need to change wind shild.
