somehow i missed this topic.........great infos arnab! 100-0 in 4.25 secs for the 997 Turbo.......? damn! that is some serious braking! :quesexclaim:

btw, Top Gear claimed that the Veyron can do 0-60 in 2.5 secs.....I'm still not sure though what is the actual 0-60 for veyron......some says 2.5 secs, some says 2.6, then some says 2.7 and some says 2.8.........i don't know which one to believe. :blue_rolleyes:

whatever it is sub 3 secs to 100 would put a lot of strain to your internal organs.....

funny, the Z06 is slower than the gallardo....

arnab, remeber that little saudi kid with the yellow M3 was saying that the ZO6 can rape the gallardo?

actually, the z06 can do 0-60 in 3.7 or 3.8 secs according to car and driver and some other car magazines........i don't know why they have 4.29 secs in here.......the old z06 (C5) does 0-60 in 4.3 secs..........the new vettes.......C6s can do 0-60 in 4.3 secs (for the regular one, I mean the Z51) and 3.7 or 3.8 for the Z06. infact the C6 Z06 had faster 1/4 mile run than the Viper SRT-10 and Murcielago.

yup he said that.... but then it all boils down to the driver, sure a z06 can do well, but could you handle it, would you be able to launch the car faster than an all wheel drive gallardo.....i wont be able to do that....but better still ask yourself one question, if you had the money would youj buy a gallardo or the z06..The Gallardo offers much more that straight line speed...

no comparison between the Gallardo and Z06.........they are made for different types of buyers. ppl who can afford a $180k+ car, they'll definitely go for Gallardo.......Z06 costs about $70k-75k (which $100k+ less than the Gallardo), and it is targeted for ppl who can't afford a supercar, but still want similar performance.

bottom line......Gallardo is a supercar and Z06 is a high performance sports car. and around the $70k-$75k price range, Z06 is unbeatable.

yup even i heard a veyron does 0-60 in 2.5 secs. god knows which one is correct. :blue_rolleyes:
