Samar is right now they decided to change from the 2.0 liters to the 2.5 liters for the whole world. The bigger engine gives more torque.

went for a ride in the WRX STi the other day. hardly any turbo lag like i thought it would have. plus it has pretty good torque starting from around 2500RPM. 0-100km/h time of 4.8 secs is believable too, it pulls like a mofo!! thankfully it stops just as good due to brembo brakes and semi slick tyres. all in all an awesome ride!

no one in town knows how to properly break in an engine , but its a debated issue like who declared independence of our country , so no one really has ground proof that driving the car hard in new state will effect badly or vise versa. ...!

the 1st 1000-1500 miles in a brand new car should be driven normally......going too crazy with a brand new car isn't really a good idea.

you can also find tons of information on how you SHOULD drive your car hard during break in period , personally I do as the owners manual says but that's also questionable advise , anyways lets all stay on topic .

he wasn't going near redline so i guess its sort of ok. not sure what it says in the owners manual regd break in for the STi. im sure its good for engine longevity to take it easy for the first 1000km or so.
