b4, we saw the SSC Aero (782 hp) and SSC Ultimate Aero (1050) hp..........now they came up with the TT version, and this one pumps out 1180 hp and 961 lb-ft of torque.
0-60 mph: 2.8 secs
1/4 mile: 9.9 secs @ 144 mph
top speed: 273 mph (estimated)
lateral acceleration: 1.05g
this car has a serious chance to beat the Bugatti Veyron. the 0-60 looks slower than the Veyron, but the rest of the numbers look superior to Veyron. Some car magazine should test it and get the actual performance numbers.

dont believe this car can put out the very good Bugatti Veyron.Only big number of hp and big torque.figs are good but let's test it on road , on track , in the town , and there the Bugatti is unbeatable.It is not a small car maker from the USA which can rival a car made by the giant car maker VW which has got a big knowledge in car industry , they have got a ton of engineers.The Bugatti can do 407 km/h in any CONDITIONS.The scc has got a lack of charm and charism.Only Ferrari and porsche will make their next supercar able to rivAl the BUGATTI .
well abdul Veyron was made by a superior auto company VW. but nothing is impossible in this world anymore. It doesnt matter if the company size is big or small, if you have qualified engeneer's who has superior knowledge about hp,preasure,torque...they can easily make a masterpiece. Take an example of ccx. They are not big company like VW. but the ccx can put itself very close to the Veyron. so if you give enough time to any supercar makers....they will defenitely make a masterpiece which will out run the Veyron. It's just a matter of time now.
Neil Just took the words out of my mouth........yeah, Koenigsegg is indeed an example, that proves that u don't have to be a big company to make one of the best supercars in the world.
This car doesn't get much publicity like other supercars........thats why ppl don't talk abt it......but I saw the car in person, and it looks great.....yeah, may be it is not as charming as euro supercars, but hey the performance numbers look great. i'll wait for some car magazine to test it and get the actual performance numbers.......
I'm not in a quest to beat the Veyron, with other supercars. I like the Veyron myself.....all I'm doing is giving some recognition that some supercars deserve.
how can u tell with full confidence that the SSC Ultimate Aero TT cannot beat the Bugatti Veyron on track, without even testing the Aero TT? lets wait till the car gets tested. Did u see the car in person? how can u tell it lacks charm? u r right GTI.........if the car is that light, then it should be flying as it goes 250 mph........but I have some doubt abt the weight though.....I'm not too sure if they have the appropriate wight in there. the SSC Aero and SSC Ultimate Aero has a 6.2 liter engine....and they weigh 2850 lbs and 2750 lbs respectively........but the SSC Ultimate Aero TT has a 7.0 liter engine, so it should weigh more IMO......but I don't know.

no car will fly if the aerodynamics is well developped.Look the Ferrari Enzo weights about 1365 kg and is able to do more than 350 km/h ,it has got a very small spoiler at the back only.As everybody knows the car has got an aerodynamics which changes following the speed.Then the car is easy to drive at very high speed.BUT you need a wind tunnel and good aerodynamicians to do that job
u are right Abdul..........but think abt it. Enzo is abt 3200 lbs, whereas SSC Ultimate Aero TT is 2750 lbs (as mentioned in Fast Autos)........so there is a 450 lbs of difference.........and moreover Ultimate Aero TT has 961 lb-ft of torque, which is almost twice the amount of torque Enzo has (485 lb-ft).........and not to mention abt the HP difference as well. with that much power, SSC Ultimate Aero TT needs to be heavier to stick to the ground IMO.
Look at McLaren F1........it weighs only abt 2500 lbs, but it has only 479 lb ft of torque......thats why it isnot a problem for the F1 to be light.......on the other hand Veyron has 922 lb ft of torque, hence the car is a lot heavier.......SSC Ultimate Aero has more power than Veyron......so it should be heavy i guess.
We are talking abt cars here that are more powerful than Formula 1 race cars........F1 cars are no doubt a lot lighter........but they still stick to the ground, cause they are heavily modified and they are built in that way with lot of downforce........I don't think SSC Ultimate Aero TT has as much downforce as an F1 car....but it is more powerful than a F1 car.
