BMW pickup, thats not what i wanted to read, kinda makes me sad and  , but true that the north american markets love their pickups. the pickups in dubai are basic, if they have electronic windows then they are really happy on the other hand the pickups in america and canada are luxury vehicles, withe dvd and leather and moonroof, ice cooler, everything. still where would a bmw fit, imagine construction companies buy whole fleet of bmw pickups....

whats wrong with construction companies buying bmw pickups. mercedes has been making lorries and vans for ages now, but those things havent tarnished the name in any manner. Anyways i personally think bimmers are too overrated, u guys are better off buying something cheaper, instead.

Bmw is tagging their sedans by odd numbers and their coupes/cabrios by even. if they make a sedan of the next gen M3er, possibilities are is going to be a M3 and its two door counterpart will be called the M4. The x7, z2, m3 are chops aswell.

hey monk, i really dont care if BMW makes pickups or not :D. i recently read in a BMW forum that a lot of BMW owners are against a BMW pickup. mercedes has been making vans and trucks for a long time. so we are all used to seeing it. Does mercedes actually make pickups? i've seen mec vans abroad and i've seen a merc truck for the army in bangladesh. it's a pretty powerful truck and i have nothing against it. but if BMW starts making pickups and trucks all of a sudden people might not like it. it'll be like when porsche started making the cayenne and people were like "What? A Porsche SUV? That's crazy!"

but ppl should not worry cuz at the end of the day, every Mclaren F1 has BMW Motorsports Division written on its engine. plus BMW also owns Rolls Royce. So if I owned a BMW i'd be proud.

i'd rather own a 350z (at the moment) :)

i recently went to a driving course arranged by BMW Canada. And I got to drive the 5 series, merc and audi + jaguar on a slalom, wet and heavy brakings. needless to say the jaguar was the worst, followed by merc, because its has a lot of plastic and then audi. the 5'er was simply superb. now before anyone gets angry, i was test riding the 530 against e320,a6 and jag e type..

Thats not what i meant. i dont hate Bmw's because they are lousy cars, on the contrary i despise them for just the opposite reason. They' drive too f'ing well, and they dont have any idiocies in their cars, which takes away the pleasure of driving. i had the new 5er 530i for a day and after i got done with it i got spoilt. the new 5er drives like a cart a lot similar to the new honda accord, and im not a great fan of bmw interiors either. if it were my money,i'd buy they accord which is twice the car with half the money, maybe not twice the status.
