what you should practice doing is trying to power shift. In the US that really helps turbo cars get a nice jump. plus if you add launch control you'd actually be able to make boost right when you launch that would be my suggestion. and the tires on your rex can be better. my friends rex has 225/45/r17 bfGoodrich g-force kdw-2. a very good choice. when you launch try launching at 5 to 6k rpm. and ur car will fly.

thanks for the advice. But, I've already broken a gearbox so have become wary of fast shifting or aggressive launches in case it happens again. You must also appreciate the fact that we don't have any dragstrips here - so there is little incentive to try and go for the very fastest times - just having fun on the public road with all its limitations.
